Position Purpose The General Manager / Deputy General Manager is responsible for the overall day-to-day management, coordination, and performance of the academy across all non-founder-controlled functions. The role ensures that all departments operate in alignment with the academy’s strategic objectives, service standards, financial discipline, operational requirements, and growth targets. The position acts as the CEO’s delegated authority in daily management and ensures effective coordination between the academy’s key functions, including: ● Pedagogy and course operations ● Marketing, sales, and communication ● HR and general administration ● Finance and accounting coordination ● Quality and customer experience ● Logistics, scheduling, procurement, and execution supportThe role is accountable for ensuring that the academy runs efficiently, decisions are followed through, interdepartmental issues are resolved promptly, and organizational performance is continuously monitored and improved. 2. Key Mission of the Role To ensure the smooth, disciplined, and high-performing management of the academy by translating the CEO’s strategic direction into coordinated day-to-day execution across all departments. 3. Main Responsibilities A. General Management and Leadership ● Oversee the daily operations of the academy and ensure business continuity across all departments. ● Act on behalf of the CEO in operational and managerial matters when delegated. ● Ensure that departmental activities are aligned with the academy’s objectives, priorities, and internal policies. ● Lead regular coordination meetings with department heads and ensure follow-up on decisions and action plans. ● Establish a culture of accountability, discipline, responsiveness, and execution. B. Cross-Departmental Coordination ● Ensure effective collaboration between Pedagogy, Marketing & Sales, Office Management, HR, Finance coordination, Quality, and operational support functions. ● Eliminate delays, duplication, and communication breakdowns between departments. ● Monitor handoffs between teams, especially in areas such as student onboarding, group launches, scheduling, teacher assignment, learner experience, and issue resolution.● Ensure that no major operational dependency remains unmanaged. C. Performance Management ● Define, monitor, and review departmental KPIs and operational dashboards. ● Track execution of monthly and quarterly objectives. ● Identify underperformance, operational bottlenecks, and recurring dysfunctions, and implement corrective action. ● Report regularly to the CEO on performance, risks, and required decisions. D. Organizational Execution ● Ensure implementation of strategic and operational plans approved by the CEO. ● Follow up the execution of projects, launches, internal changes, and service improvements. ● Coordinate internal resources to ensure deadlines are met and priorities are respected. ● Maintain visibility over operational workload and institutional priorities. E. Service Quality and Business Continuity ● Ensure that the academy maintains a reliable and professional service level for students, parents, teachers, corporate clients, and partners. ● Supervise escalation and resolution of operational issues affecting the customer experience. ● Ensure continuity of operations in the event of staff absence, interdepartmental conflict, or execution failure. F. Administrative, Financial, and HR Coordination ● Coordinate with HR/Admin and Finance functions to ensure administrative discipline, staffing continuity, documentation flow, payroll coordination, budget follow-up, andcompliance with approved procedures. ● Ensure managerial follow-up of attendance, discipline, leave coordination, internal reporting, and departmental accountability. ● Monitor resource allocation and operational spending in coordination with the relevant responsible managers. G. Governance and Reporting ● Prepare management reports, dashboards, decision notes, and executive summaries for the CEO. ● Escalate major risks, strategic issues, and organizational gaps in a timely manner. ● Ensure that CEO decisions are communicated, implemented, and verified. 4. Scope of Authority The General Manager is authorized, within the limits defined by the CEO, to: ● Coordinate and supervise department heads ● Chair internal operational meetings ● Follow up action plans and deadlines ● Require reporting from department leads ● Intervene to resolve cross-departmental blockages ● Escalate disciplinary, performance, or structural concerns to the CEO ● Validate routine operational decisions within delegated authority Strategic decisions, major financial commitments, structural hiring, compensation decisions, and final policy changes remain subject to CEO approval unless otherwise delegated.5. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) The General Manager / Deputy General Manager will be evaluated based on indicators such as: ● Departmental action plans executed on time: minimum 90% ● Cross-departmental issues resolved within agreed deadlines: minimum 90% ● Management reporting submitted to CEO on time: 100% ● Critical operational escalations left unresolved beyond deadline: less than 5% ● Group launches, learner operations, and key internal workflows completed without preventable internal delay: minimum 95% ● Internal coordination meetings held with documented follow-up: 100% of scheduled cycles ● Improvement in operational discipline and reduction in repeated internal errors over each quarter These KPI types are consistent with large-company management logic: measurable execution, reporting discipline, deadline control, and cross-functional coordination rather than vague “support” language. Required Qualifications ● University degree in Management, Business Administration, Organizational Leadership, Finance, HR, or a related field ● Postgraduate education is an advantage ● Training in operations, project management, or leadership is a plus 8. Required Experience ● Minimum 5 to 8 years of progressive management experience ● Minimum 3 years in a cross-functional leadership, general management, operations leadership, or branch/business-unit management role ● Experience in education, training, services, or multi-department organizations is strongly preferred ● Proven experience in team coordination, performance management, and execution follow-up This level of experience is consistent with senior management roles seen in formal recruitment structures, where broad managerial oversight and progressive responsibility are required. 9.
