Job SummaryThe Surveyor is responsible for carrying out land and construction surveying activities to ensure accurate setting out, measurement, and verification of project works in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and project requirements. The role ensures precision in site measurements, supports construction teams with accurate data, and contributes to timely project execution while maintaining quality and safety standards.Job Responsibilities Perform site surveys to establish reference points, benchmarks, and control points.Carry out setting out activities for civil, structural, and infrastructure works in accordance with approved drawings.Verify dimensions, elevations, and alignments before and during construction activities.Ensure all surveying equipment is calibrated and properly maintained.Interpret construction drawings and coordinate with engineering teams to ensure accuracy in layout works.Prepare and maintain survey reports, field notes, and measurement records.Ensure that only the latest approved drawings are used for setting out works.Assist in resolving discrepancies between site conditions and project drawings.Conduct as-built surveys and prepare as-built drawings in coordination with drafting teams.Monitor vertical and horizontal control during construction to ensure compliance with project tolerances.Coordinate with QA/QC teams to verify completed works prior to inspection.Support quantity measurements for progress billing and project reporting.Ensure survey data is accurately recorded and stored according to company procedures.Participate in site inspections and technical meetings as required.Ensure that 90% of survey-related inspections pass during the first submission by maintaining high accuracy standards.Adhere to project timelines and support construction teams to avoid delays caused by setting out errors.Conduct topographic and boundary surveys as required.Ensure compliance with local regulations and project specifications related to surveying works.Monitor and report any site discrepancies or potential risks affecting layout accuracy.Maintain logs of survey activities and provide regular updates to the Project Engineer or Site Manager.Support implementation of HSE initiatives and ensure safe use of surveying instruments on site.Assist in training junior surveyors or assistants when required.Job Knowledge & SkillsStrong knowledge of surveying principles, techniques, and equipment operation.Proficiency in using Total Station, GPS, Auto Level, and other surveying instruments.Ability to read and interpret engineering and construction drawings.Experience with AutoCAD and surveying software is an advantage.Strong mathematical and analytical skills.High level of accuracy and attention to detail.Ability to work outdoors under varying site conditions.Good communication skills in English (written and verbal).Job ExperienceMinimum 5–8 years of total experience.At least 3–5 years of relevant experience in construction or infrastructure projects.EducationDiploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Surveying Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related field.Professional surveyor license or certification is preferred
