Join us and be part of shaping the future of agriculture and dairy in Algeria. currently seeking an experienced AGRITECH & SMART FARMING SYSTEMS OFFICER  to join our team.Position Summary: The Agritech & Smart Farming Systems Officer is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing technology-driven agricultural solutions to improve productivity, sustainability, and efficiency across farming operations. The role focuses on integrating modern technologies such as IoT, data analytics, precision agriculture, and automation into farming operations to support organizational goals.Principal Accountabilities: 1. Technology Implementation: Deploy and manage smart farming technologies (IoT sensors, drones, automated irrigation systems). Monitor and maintain digital agriculture platforms and tools. Support farmers and stakeholders in adopting agritech solutions.2. Data Management & Analysis Collect, analyze, and interpret agricultural data (soil health, weather, crop performance). Generate insights and reports to improve yield and resource efficiency. Use precision agriculture tools to optimize planting, fertilization, and irrigation.3. Farm Systems Optimization Develop and improve smart irrigation, fertilization, and pest control systems. Integrate climate-smart and sustainable farming practices. Ensure efficient use of water, energy, and inputs.4. Training & Capacity Building Train farmers, technicians, and staff on agritech tools and best practices. Conduct workshops and field demonstrations. Provide technical support and troubleshooting.5. Research & Innovation Stay updated on emerging agricultural technologies and trends. Test and evaluate new tools and systems. Collaborate with research institutions and tech providers.6. Project Management Plan and oversee agritech projects from concept to implementation. Coordinate with stakeholders, vendors, and partners. Ensure projects meet timelines, budgets, and performance targets.Minimum Requirements:Education Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Agricultural Engineering, Agronomy, or related field.05 Years of Experience and 3 years Field experience.Knowledge of IoT, GIS, and remote sensing technologies. Knowledge of farm management software and precision agriculture tools. Understanding of agronomy, crop science, and sustainable farming.
