Job Description SummaryAs part of the internship program, you’ll work on meaningful projects, collaborate with experienced professionals, and develop your leadership and communication skills and learn the GE Vernova way within your assigned function.Internship for Grid Automation & Software, this role offers hands-on experience with the GA&S technologies, products, solutions, services and projects.Job DescriptionWhat You’ll DoCollaborate on enhancing existing Grid Automation & Software solutions and developing new, commercially viable features.Solve real-world industry and customer challenges using a mix of electrical engineering principles, physics, and AI/ML techniques.Contribute to pilot projects and initiatives that shape the future of grid technology.Why It’s ExcitingWork at the intersection of power systems and intelligent software.Gain exposure to enterprise applications that power modern energy infrastructure.Be part of a team that values innovation, technical excellence, and impact.Required QualificationsCurrently enrolled in bachelor (engineering), master’s degree in electrical engineering , electronics engineering or computer science or “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) and preferably with thesis work in Electrical Engineering (Focus on electrical Power System, protection and controls)Minimum cumulative or in-major 3.0/4.0 GPA.Must commit to working full time (40 hrs/wk) during the internship in summer.Must be willing to work in office as well sites.Must have the ability to work in the country in which he-she is applying.Desired CharacteristicsYou thrive in dynamic, collaborative environments where innovation drives solutions to complex energy challenges.You bring hands-on experience & great ideas in developing innovative solutions, driving improvement in field services activities and project management.You're familiar with grid automation technologies and standards (IEC).You have foundational knowledge of power system concepts such as fault detection, and grid stabilityBenefits Available to you:Addressing the climate crisis is an urgent global priority, and at GE Vernova, we take our responsibility seriously.
