Key Responsibilities:
- Communicating with the clients in both French and English to understand their case requirements.
- Conducting research using legislation, case law, and other legal texts as sources.
- Drafting legal texts, including reports, contracts, etc.
- Assisting the Senior Attorney on various cases and legal proceedings .
- Advocating for acquittal or clemency in each case.
- Maintaining a report of ongoing cases and updating clients on case progress .
- Ensuring that data obtained during interactions with clients remain confidential.
- Reporting on hours spent on each assignment.
- Keeping up-to-date with any changes in the legislation.
Qualifications :
- Master’s degree in Law.
- Advanced English communication and writing level .
- a minimum experience in the field or notary or banking is required .
- Familiarity with legislation and case law within and related to your specialty.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, decision-making and negotiation skills.
- Perceptive and meticulous.
- Ability to handle stressful situations and the capacity to perform under stress.
