Join us and be part of shaping the future of agriculture and dairy in Algeria.Key ResponsibilitiesImplement programs for efficient and sustainable use of water, soil, and land resources in line with project productivity goals.Monitor compliance with environmental regulations, permits, and Baladna’s internal policies.Support the establishment and operation of the Environmental Management System (EMS).Oversee irrigation efficiency, water quality testing, and soil health monitoring.Supervise field environmental and resource technicians to ensure proper data collection and reporting.Implement waste management, pollution prevention, and biodiversity protection initiatives.Conduct environmental audits and risk assessments, recommending corrective and preventive actions.Support the development of climate-smart agriculture and renewable energy initiatives at site level.Coordinate with operations, farming, and engineering teams to integrate sustainability measures into daily activities.Prepare reports and dashboards on environmental performance indicators and resource utilization.Ensure training and awareness of staff on environmental procedures and emergency response protocols.Liaise with regulatory agencies, consultants, and local authorities for inspections and reporting.Contribute to continuous improvement and sustainability certifications (ISO 14001, etc.).Key InterfacesInternal: Farming Operations, Engineering, HSE, HR, Planning, Finance, and Supply ChainExternal: Government agencies, environmental consultants, certification bodies, and local communitiesEducation & ExperienceBachelor’s degree in environmental science, Agricultural Engineering, Natural Resource Management, or related field (Master’s preferred).Minimum 7–10 years of experience in environmental and resource management, preferably in agricultural or industrial projects.Demonstrated experience with environmental compliance, irrigation systems, waste management, and sustainability reporting.Familiarity with Algerian environmental laws and permitting processes is highly desirable.Key CompetenciesEnvironmental Compliance & ManagementWater and Land Resource Optimization Sustainable Agriculture PracticesRisk Assessment & Corrective ActionProject Planning & ExecutionLeadership & Team CoordinationAnalytical & Reporting SkillsCommunication & Stakeholder Engagement
