Description
The
Plant Manager provides leadership to the operational departments, including
Production, Quality Assurance, Maintenance, Projects, Process Control, and
Safety, ensuring that each contributes effectively to the overall business
objectives.
Le profil demandé
- Technical qualification in Engineering from a
reputed institute.
- 8 to 12 years of experience in factory
operations within the FMCG manufacturing industry, including at least 1 year in
a lead operations role
- Fluent in French, English, and Arabic
- Specific experience in the assigned BU product
category
- Strong ownership and result-oriented mindset
- Solid skills in capacity planning and
operational efficiency
- Proven experience in quality management
- Effective in self-management and team
leadership
- Strong planning and decision-making abilities
Missions:
Optimize man–machine utilization to meet production targets within set time and cost parameters
Ensure compliance with quality standards including GMP, QMS, HACCP, and implementation of control points (CPs & CCPs)
Monitor and ensure adherence to process parameters and final product quality
Minimize cost parameters (water, electricity, effluent, consumables, manpower per liter) using efficient shop floor techniques
Reduce breakdowns and planned downtime through effective production planning and preventive maintenance scheduling
Complete documentation and reports in a timely manner, including MIS, CEO, breakdown, and production-related reports
Minimize in-line wastage of raw materials, packaging materials, and finished goods to stay below industry norms
Maintain budget control and ensure cost per ton is aligned with AOP, with regular reviews alongside the Finance Manager
Update all production activities in Oracle or other ERP systems and perform monthly cycle counts for PRMP, WIP, and yield, generating variance reports
Successfully launch new SKUs, ensuring Right First Time (RFT) implementation with full process support and documentation
Monitor and report factory KPIs weekly through a scorecard system, in coordination with the Finance Manager
Conduct weekly operational reviews with department managers to ensure alignment and performance tracking
Promote a zero-complaint mindset in collaboration with the Quality Manager
Ensure all staff are fully competent in their roles through a skills matrix and continuous assessment, with a focus on quality and safety behavior
Maintain full site readiness for audits and customer visits, including unannounced factory inspections
Ensure all staff are appropriately trained according to the skills matrix, in collaboration with the HR department
