With a production facility Technover P SPA since 2022 and a rapidly growing team with 1 production facility, 2 warehouses and more than 80 employees, we aim to further strengthen Jotun’s position in Algeria through ambitious market growth plans that focus on innovation, efficiency and profitability.;JOB DESCRIPTION Join our dynamic team as a Purchasing Manager and lead our Operational Purchasing team to new heights. You will be responsible for optimizing inventory and ensuring the seamless availability of Raw Materials (RM), Purchased Finished Goods (PFG), and Direct Packaging Materials (DPM). Leveraging Group Purchasing’s (GP) strategic regional and global agreements, along with localized deals when necessary, you will play a crucial role in driving our company’s success and delivering exceptional service to our customers.As a leader, you will inspire and manage a team of dedicated professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment. Your people management skills will be essential in guiding the team to achieve their full potential and meet our ambitious targets.Additionally, you will work closely with various departments to manage Indirect Materials (IM) purchases, ensuring we obtain the best value while minimizing risks. Your leadership will directly support our business goals and growth objectives.This exciting opportunity is based in the vibrant city of Algiers, reporting to the Operations Manager. Mission :
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead the local purchasing team by utilizing effective management practices and tools to develop, coach, and guide its members, ensuring a workforce that is skilled, motivated, and prepared to meet Jotun’s current and future demands.
  • Facilitate cross-functional cooperation and ensure optimal planning and execution and that all RM/PFG/DPM are ordered in line with price agreements and allocations given by GP category managers.
  • Effective and continuous follow-up and reporting of all orders, communicating issues as needed and report to local management and GP on agreed on local KPIs for IM and RM.
  • Support GP category managers in identifying potential local suppliers and maintaining existing relationships (including supplier audits and participation in supplier meetings on request from GP category managers).
  • Ensure local parameters in Matrix are in accordance with operational purchasing principles (under development) Manage all IM spending in close cooperation with GP and internal stakeholders (user departments), delegate low-value IM purchases to user departments, and ensure the appropriate use of Matrix.
  • Ensure supplier invoice control is carried out in line with company guidelines, relevant customs regulations and procedures are followed and facilitated, and all supplier invoices are paid within the due date.


Profil :
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR QUALIFIQUATIONS :
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of Purchasing experience.
  • Minimum 2 years of Foreign Purchasing experience.
  • Experience and understanding of custom regulations (Import & Export).
  • Fluency in English, French and Arabic language.
